1. General Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to return items, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be in its original, unworn condition, free of any scents, damage, or alterations.
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging, including any tags or seals intact. Packaging has been designed to be resealed to return
  • "Tried on" does not mean "worn." We understand the need to assess fit, but the item should only be tried on briefly and remain in a fully resalable condition.
  • Items returned with signs of wear (e.g., stretched fabric, body odour, strong scents such as aftershave or perfume, visible damage) will not be refunded or accepted for return.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or exchanges for any items that do not meet these conditions.

Returns & Hygiene

We want every customer to feel confident when they receive a Broni & Bo tie — knowing it’s brand new, unworn, and in perfect condition. That’s why we take hygiene and quality seriously when it comes to returns.

You're very welcome to try a tie on briefly at home to check the colour or fit. But once a tie has been worn for any extended period, it may no longer be suitable for return.

How We Identify Worn Ties

At Broni & Bo, we take great care in ensuring every product we ship meets our high standards of hygiene and quality. We understand customers may try on items to check the fit or colour, and we fully support that. However, in some instances, ties are returned in a condition that indicates they have been worn for a prolonged period rather than simply tried on.

Due to the nature of knitted polyester fibres, ties can absorb and retain odours and skin particles from the wearer. These materials are particularly susceptible to subtle yet detectable changes that occur when a tie has been exposed to prolonged body contact. Even without the use of fragrances such as aftershave, human skin naturally produces oils and perspiration, which bind to the fabric and result in a residual scent.

Our inspection team is trained to identify these signs through both olfactory (scent) checks and fabric condition assessments. These checks are carried out to maintain hygiene standards and ensure that returned products are in resalable condition for all customers.

For this reason, we are unable to accept returns on ties that show signs of wear, including any detectable body odour, residue, or fabric distortion. We thank you for your understanding and for helping us uphold a high standard of product quality and cleanliness.

2. How to Return an Item

  • You are responsible for the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty or incorrect due to an error on our part.
  • We recommend using a tracked or signed-for service to return your item, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

3. Refunds

  • Refunds will only be issued once the item has been received and inspected by our team.
  • Refunds are processed within 2-3 business days after the return has been approved.
  • Refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment. Please allow up to 7 days for your bank or card issuer to process the refund.
  • Items returned in a condition that is not resalable (e.g., worn, damaged, or with a strong scent) will not be refunded, and we will offer to return the item to you at your expense.

4. Exchanges

  • If you would like to exchange an item for a different color or style, please contact us first at info@broniandbo.co.uk to check stock availability.
  • Once we confirm the exchange, simply return the original item in line with our return policy, and we will dispatch the exchange upon receipt of the item.

5. Faulty or Incorrect Items

We take great care in checking all items before they are dispatched, but in the rare event you receive a faulty or incorrect item:

  • Contact us immediately at info@broniandbo.co.uk, quoting your order number and describing the issue.
  • Faulty items must be reported within 14 days of receiving your order. Items reported after this period will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
  • We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including any return postage costs, once we have confirmed the fault.

6. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges on the following items:

  • Personalised or custom-made products.
  • Items marked as "final sale" or "non-returnable" at the time of purchase.

7. Worn Items and Wardrobing

Our team checks every return to ensure that the quality of the product is fit for resale to the next customer. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards, and all returned items are rigorously inspected to ensure they meet our strict quality requirements before being accepted back into our inventory.

We take a firm stance on items being worn and returned in violation of our policy. Wardrobing—the practice of wearing items and returning them—is strictly prohibited and will result in:

  • No refund or exchange, as the item will be deemed unsellable.
  • The item will be returned to you at your expense if requested, with shipping costs calculated at the point of return and an invoice provided. If you do not accept or pay for the return within 60 days of our notification, we will recycle the product in accordance with our sustainability practices.
  • Continued abuse of this policy may result in account closure or further action.

Our packaging is specifically designed to protect the integrity of our products, and any claims of damage or scent transfer during transit will be thoroughly investigated. Our items are sealed to prevent exposure to external elements, and any signs of wear or scent upon return indicate use.

8. Consumer Rights and Compliance

These terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under UK law, customers have the right to return faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of receiving the product. However, this does not apply to items that are simply unwanted but have been used or worn in a manner that goes beyond what is reasonably expected for trying on.

9. Final Policy Enforcement

We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will be posted on our website and will apply to orders placed after the date of the update.
